Service Description

Grief is a natural response to loss, yet it can be one of the most difficult experiences to navigate. And grief isn't limited to the death of someone we love. We can grieve the end of a relationship or marriage, changes in our health, the loss of a role or identity, unexpected life transitions, or the dreams and expectations we once held for our future. Sometimes, we grieve the life we thought we would have, even while trying to make peace with the life we are living. Navigating Loss and Grief is a compassionate, reflective workshop offering space to explore the many ways loss affects us and discover supportive ways to navigate the experience. Together, we will explore different types of loss, the myths and realities of grief, and why there is no single right way to grieve. Through guided reflection, meaningful exercises, and practical coping strategies, you will have the opportunity to consider your own experiences, recognize your needs, and explore ways to care for yourself during difficult times. We will also explore the importance of healthy boundaries, grounding ourselves when emotions feel overwhelming, and finding meaningful ways to honour what or whom we have lost while making space for life as it is now. This workshop is not about rushing the grieving process, fixing difficult feelings, or finding a silver lining in every loss. It is about meeting ourselves with greater understanding, compassion, and patience. You are welcome to come exactly as you are. Whether your loss is recent or something you have carried for years, this is an opportunity to pause, reflect, and connect with supportive tools and perspectives in a respectful, welcoming environment. In this workshop, we will explore: The many forms of loss and how grief can show up in our lives. Common myths about grief and the realities of our individual experiences. Recognizing our emotional needs, personal limits, and healthy boundaries. Reflective exercises to explore and acknowledge our losses. Practical coping strategies and grounding techniques. Meaningful ways to honour what has changed while caring for ourselves moving forward. Workshop length: 2.5 hours, including a 15-minute break. You do not need to share your personal story to participate. You are encouraged to engage at a pace that feels comfortable and right for you. Sometimes, the first step toward navigating loss is simply giving ourselves permission to acknowledge it.
